Ready to Rise Launches New 2024 Cohort, Investing $50M+ in LA Youth Programs

The California Community Foundation (CCF), Liberty Hill Foundation, and L.A. County Probation Department announced the selection of a new cohort of community-based organizations for Ready to Rise. This public-private partnership reimagines youth development and focuses on keeping youth out of the criminal justice system. Since 2019, this partnership, which also supports programs that help previously incarcerated youth transition back into their communities, has provided capacity-building assistance and more than $22 million in grants to LA County organizations, serving over 26,000 youth. With a renewed contract approved by the LA County Probation Department earlier this year, investments in the program will increase by at least $50 million over the next seven years.
